Gardens of Wonder
The exhibitions that former director of the Nieuwe Kerk and Hermitage museums in Amsterdam and passionate observer of art Ernst Veen organised took him to some unique places. In beautiful parks and gardens brimming with art, he was enchanted to see how art and nature can merge. This gave him the idea of making a book, Gardens of Wonder, in which he guides us around the works, thus managing to bring them to us.
Former director of the Stedelijk Museum and art expert Gijs van Tuijl helped Ernst Veen seek out the sculpture parks. They visited them together and wrote this book about what they saw there. Van Tuijl's words, and the beautiful photographs of Paul Kramer, will allow you to enjoy these extraordinary artworks and unique places from the comfort of your armchair.
